The Akai S2800 was a cut down version of the S3000, offering only stereo in/out on 1/4" un-balanced jacks, only 2 extra assignable out's rather than the 8 assignable outs which are standard on all but the budget Akai samplers and a max ram memory of 16mb as opposed to the full 32mb on the S3000 models.
The S2800i, like all suffixed 'i' models simply indicates the unit comes with SCSI as standard rather than as an option, everything else is the same.
